“ We were in San Diego one weekend with our 2 girl dogs and looking for a dog-friendly restaurant to have dinner at. Pizza Nova was walking distance from our hotel so we decided to take a chance on it. I’m glad we did, as their food is really good. The pepperoni white pizza was outstanding and the lasagna was so good that we took leftovers home and ate it for breakfast the next day. The calamari was also good; the sauces were both really good, I couldn’t decide which one I liked more. The hostess wasn’t very friendly, but our server definitely was. It was a very busy Saturday night when we dined here, so I appreciated the fact that our server still provided us with great service. One thing I want to point out is that they no longer have a dedicated doggy menu, but they were happy to make plain meatballs without the marinara sauce for our pups to share. Another positive thing is the location is amazing, as sitting outside gave us a nice view of the marina. I wish I lived in San Diego. ”
“ Great food, great location, great service! My first time in San Diego and my aunt chooses this place to take me. Was definitely not disappointed! Your Caesar salad dressing was delicious, your garlic rolls were amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better personal pizza! Lunch specials are great and your restrooms were shiny clean! ”
“ Had the hot lava cake which I highly recommend! It felt perfect size to share with one other person. Also enjoyed a Mammoth Brew double nut brown. ”
“ One of the best pizzas I have ever had! I stayed at a hotel near this restaurant and ordered my pizza to-go. The place is very nice, with indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a vegetarian pizza. It was so delicious and the crust was perfect. I even got a surprise side of garlic rolls! I will definitely come back next time I'm in Point Loma. “ Food was good but not great. All the toppings seemed to be in the middle. Not a lot of seasonings or sauce. The server was great. She was gone for a bit because she is the only Spanish speaking server and helped another table. But she was great. The atmosphere was nice. For the San Diego area I would say fair value. I would go back. ”
“ Love, love, love the garlic bread! Hot and fresh! The service was excellent. The menu has a good variety for anyone's tastes. The name Pizza Nova does not do it justice. We did not have to wait long for our meal and drink refills appeared without having to ask. I've always been pleased whenever I have eaten here. I'm lactose intolerant, and the wait staff/chief has never messed this up! And I love the view of the marina! ”
“ While on vacation in San Diego, I was looking for a good lunch spot, and this place was perfectly located right on the harbor. Not only did we get a beautiful view of all the boats, but it was also conveniently close to many of the local hotels. Their lunch specials are just $16 and include a fresh salad plus your choice of pizza or pasta, with plenty of combinations to choose from. I went with their sausage and mushroom pizza paired with a Caesar salad, and it was absolutely delicious. Every meal comes with their amazing garlic knots, which were warm, buttery, and downright addictive. Our sweet waitress even brought my son a free chocolate milk, which completely made his day. There’s plenty of free parking in their lot, just be sure to look for the signs that say “Pizza Nova 2-hour parking.” All in all, it was a perfect little lunch with great food, friendly service, and a view you can’t beat. ”
“ Got it! Let’s blend that original flair with a touch more polish and Google Maps readiness. Here’s your elevated, classy-local-favorite version—ideal for standing out in reviews while still being helpful: Pizza Nova – A San Diego Staple This local favorite hits all the right notes—crispy, wood-fired crusts, fresh gourmet toppings, and a marina view that makes any meal feel like a mini vacation. Whether you’re craving a classic margherita or something bolder like prosciutto with arugula, the flavors are thoughtful and beautifully balanced. The Nova Salad is a standout, and yes, it is big enough to share—if you’re feeling generous. Service is consistently friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is relaxed, coastal, and perfect for everything from a casual lunch to a low-key date night. Free parking is available in the lot out front, and you can usually find a spot—especially if you’re coming early evening or midweek. Pro tip: sit outside if you can. Watching the boats glide by while sipping sangria or a craft beer with pizza fresh from the oven? Pure San Diego magic. ”
